FAQ

Why use Web Seminars for training?

While our onsite classes are the only way to receive customized training for the very best interaction and skill implementation, our web seminars are excellent for a number of reasons!

  • Budget Friendly. Make the most of your training dollars if onsite training is outside of your budget.
  • Refresh Training. Get a quick refresher on PhonePRO skills.
  • New Hire Training. Train new hires that join your team after PhonePRO has trained your staff onsite.
  • Scheduling Convenience. Our seminars are available 24/7 and the passwords are valid until you use them.
  • Set Your Own Learning Pace.  Watch one seminar, apply those techniques, and then move on to the next seminar when you are ready!
  • Follow-up Coaching. Coach the staff members that have received PhonePRO training.

Can I view a webinar more than once?

The webinars are designed for a single viewing.  However, we do provide the option for unlimited access for 30 days/60 days/90 days/6 months/1 year.

How can I get the most bang for my buck?

  • Unlimited viewing options. Depending on your training needs, you can purchase unlimited access to all of our Customer Service and Coaching the web seminars for 30 days/60 days/90 days/6 months/1 year.  One pass will provide access for all employees within one company, in one country, for a specified period of time.
  • Group viewings rather than individual viewings. Set the seminar up in a conference room.  Utilize the pause and review function to facilitate discussion on how to implement each skill into your culture.
  • Encourage Notes. Handouts are included in each seminar for continuing reinforcement of the PhonePRO techniques.

How long will my password be valid after I purchase a webinar?

If an individual webinar ticket is purchased, passwords are valid until all tickets are used.  If an unlimited option (30 days/60 days/90 days/6 months/1 year) is purchased, the passwords will expire at the end of that time frame.

Are the webinars available in DVD format that I can purchase?

The webinars are only available for online viewing and aren’t formatted for DVD. This online platform enables us to provide updates to the material as needed. However, if you are interested in training a larger group by using our web seminar series, please contact us by phone at 800-888-4893 or email webinar@phonepro.com to discuss additional pricing options for unlimited viewing.

I keep getting an error when attempting to log in

Our passwords are case sensitive and can be tricky to type!  So we recommend that the password be copied (Ctrl+C) and pasted (Ctrl+V) into each login (there will be two).

What happens if my webinar will not load?

If you have a broadband connection with at least 500 kbps and your web seminar is still not loading, your company firewall may be blocking PhonePRO content.  If this is the case, it will be necessary to submit a request to your IT department to adjust the firewall settings to include PhonePRO.com as a trusted site in your firewall software.

If your firewall settings allow PhonePRO streaming, then please try the following steps:

  1. Clear your internet browser’s cache and cookies and then close and re-open your browser.
  2. Make sure to close other streaming applications, like RealPlayer, Quick Time, and Windows Media Player.
  3. Close and relaunch your internet browser, once again.
  4. Login and attempt to load the webinar.

If all of the above have been attempted and you are still unable to load the PhonePRO webinar, please contact us at webinar@phonepro.com or 800.888.4893.

What can I do if the webinar doesn’t fit the screen properly?

Screen Resolution – For the best possible view, please be sure your screen resolution is set to 1024 by 768 pixels. Just follow these simple steps before you login to your course:

Click on “Start”
“Settings”
“Control Panel”
“Display”
“Settings”
Go to “Screen Resolution” and move the bar to “1024 by 768 pixels”
Click “OK”

Your screen will go blank for a second or two, then will reopen with the new settings. If it asks if you would like to keep these settings, say “yes”.

Once your webinar begins playing, you can hit the “F11″ key on your keyboard to make the image even larger.

I can’t hear the webinar

The Volume on your computer should be tested prior to logging in to ensure that the audio portion of the seminar will be heard. You will find the option to turn on your speakers on your control panel. You will hear the seminar through your computer or “outboard” speakers. Please be sure the volume level is high enough that everyone can easily hear.

When I launch the webinar, it begins in the second chapter

Here’s the fix Simply enter a different email address (it doesn’t have to be valid) and the webinar will begin at Chapter OneHere’s why it happened:  For reporting purposes, our webinars track participant progress through the use of the email address entered at the login.  Therefore, if you login and view the first half of the webinar and then need to step away, when you log back into the training, the system will remember what chapter you were in when you left, and direct you to the start of that chapter.  This becomes tricky when facilitating a group web seminar to multiple groups and the web seminar isn’t viewed through the last slide by the first group.  Even though it may only be a few slides, when it is time to train the second group on the same web seminar, the system recognizes that the webinar wasn’t viewed in its entirety and begins at the start of Chapter Two.

Other helpful hints

Wireless internet may sometimes interfere with streaming video/audio – just hit refresh and it should start again.

Internet Cache will allow for future viewings to go more smoothly. After the seminar is loaded and has played all the way through, the web browser will create a cache version of the seminar. This will allow for future viewings to go more smoothly, but it will still be necessary for the viewer to log in with a password to access it. Having the presentation “cached” doesn’t allow the participant to watch it anytime without logging in, it just prevents future viewing problems.
